Unprecedented Typhoon Season in the Philippines

IN OUR AREA: We are currently experiencing winds, rain, and freezing temperatures through our area as a cold front runs through. We will be seeing snow and rain into the weekend, but we aren’t the only ones seeing bad weather.

ACROSS THE PACIFIC: Over the last two weeks, the Philippines have experienced 4 Typhoons in succession in their most populated areas. This has caused devastating impacts across the islands as their capabilities have been dwindled. However, the United Nations has started to aid the nation in their recovery efforts. The storms, named Yinxing, Toraji, Usagi, and Man-Yi, have all made landfall on the island nation from November 7th through the 17th. Officials in the Philippines say that this barrage of storms is unprecedented even for their peak season, which is July through October.
