Mercer County, WV (WOAY) – Bluefield State University hosted students from the McDowell Technical Education Center to help teach licensed practical nursing candidates the pathway to registered nursing that the university offers.
Bluefield State University says it is focused on expanding access to healthcare education to help meet workforce needs in West Virginia.
The school says it has seen one of the strongest enrollment growth rates out of all of the state’s public four-year institutions.
The visit ended with a National Nurses Day celebration.
