Bridge Walk activities see more use after enacting precautions for patrons

LANSING, WV (WOAY) – With Summer coming around and restrictions lifting, more people are heading outside.

Bridge Walk for instance is seeing many more people come out to enjoy tours of the New River Gorge Bridge’s catwalk.

However, they aren’t restarting their operation without precautions. Doug Coleman, a tour guide at Bridge Walk says they’ve put many rules in place to keep people safe.

“What we’ve done is we’ve limited the number of people per tour to six or seven and we require masks to be worn at all times, and gloves, to help deter the spread of COVID,” Coleman said.

Bridge Walk is also offering specials for the summer holidays. Today for instance they offered a discounted rate for Flag Day.
