BECKLEY, WV (WOAY)—The city of Beckley will hold weekly public meetings about its transition to a city manager-style of government.
The meetings will happen at 3:30 every Thursday afternoon in the city council chambers.
The measure passed 4-3 in January and has seen vocal support and condemnation.
The measure is also facing legal problems, as a Raleigh County businessman is suing the city over the ordinance, saying the way that it was passed violated the city charter.
