BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Beckley-Raleigh County Health Department has been testing individuals for COVID-19 for the last several weeks. Currently, there are 12 positive cases of COVID 19 in Raleigh County.

To identify and isolate positive individuals, the Beckley-Raleigh County Health Department will be conducting drive-thru testing on Wednesday, May 20th, 2020, from 9 AM to 11 AM. You MUST contact the Beckley Raleigh County Health Department at (304) 252-8531 ext.0. For a pre-screening phone assessment, before arrival. We will only be testing those individuals that meet the WV-DHHR and the CDC criteria for testing.

Please note: Not everyone needs to be tested for COVID-19. We currently do not have medications to treat COVID-19, so whether you test positive or negative, advice for managing symptoms will be the same. Those who are symptomatic with a fever, cough, and at a higher risk for severe illness should contact their healthcare provider.
