Beckley, WV (WOAY) – Beckley Public works announces the start date for the annual Spring Clean Up.
City officials are asking Beckley residents in all wards to place items within 5 feet of the curb. Crews will begin the cleanup at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025, beginning with Ward 1. The plan is to pick up daily in all 5 Wards until the pickup is complete. According to Public Works there will be no return trips to any Ward once that neighborhoods pickup is complete.
Public Works crews will not pick up hazardous waste or petroleum products (oil, gasoline, etc.), yard waste (tree limbs, logs, brush, etc.), demolition materials, batteries, liquids (paint thinners, pesticides, or insecticides) or white goods (washers, dryers or appliances).
The Recycling Department of Public Works will pick up white goods any Friday for a $25 fee per item. Please call (304)256-1813 to arrange a pickup.
