Beckley man arrested in connection with break in at Pasquale’s

Beckley, WV (WOAY) The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office is sharing new details following an investigation at Pasquale’s earlier this week.

Deputy S. Lilly responded to a smoke alarm at the restaurant on January 22.

When he arrived, he saw smoke coming from the back door and discovered the office had been broken into, prompting a criminal investigation.

That investigation quickly expanded into a multi-agency effort involving the Beckley Police Department, Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, Mullens Police Department, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, and the State Fire Marshal.

As a result, deputies arrested 38-year-old Anthony Gump of Beckley.

He is charged with second-degree arson, grand larceny, breaking and entering, and destruction of property valued at more than $2,500.

Gump is currently being held at Southern Regional Jail on a 100-thousand-dollar bond.
