Beckley, WV (WOAY) The Beckley Fire Department is now accepting applications for its upcoming firefighter testing.
Officials say if you’re ready to serve your community, challenge yourself, and become part of a tradition dating back to 1907, now is your opportunity.
The department is highlighting competitive pay and benefits, a 20-year retirement program, EMT and degree incentives, tuition assistance, and opportunities for career advancement.
Two open houses are planned at Station 3 on Industrial Drive on June 6 and June 26 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Candidates will have a chance to meet firefighters, tour the station, and learn more about the hiring process.
The entry-level exam is scheduled for July 24 at 6:00 p.m.
