Robson, WV (WOAY) Additional flood relief resources are coming to the Robson community this afternoon.
The Beckley Dream Center, in partnership with United Way of Southern West Virginia, will be set up at Robson Freewill Baptist Church, providing free hot meals and hot showers for those affected by the flooding.
The event kicks off at noon at Robson Freewill Baptist Church on Deepwater Mountain Road.
Shower and hygiene packets, bottled water, and cleaning supplies will also be available while supplies last.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department will have a UTV onsite, along with volunteers, to help deliver meals and supplies to residents who remain stranded or unable to travel because of flood conditions.
The church says it will continue serving as a distribution and relief center as the community begins the recovery process.
A portable drinking water distribution tank has also been placed by American Water just before the entrance to Mulberry for community use.
Fayette County Emergency Management will be on-site to help coordinate relief efforts.
