Beckley, WV (WOAY) The city of Beckley is investing in youth opioid prevention efforts with a new grant award.
The Beckley Common Council approved $50,000 in opioid grant funding to support The Summit Kollective (TSK) Pathways and its youth prevention programs in the community.
Organization leaders say the funding will help continue efforts to educate young people about the dangers of opioid use while promoting healthy life choices through prevention and outreach programs.
TSK pathways also thanked Adrienne Banks for helping secure the grant, citing her dedication and work throughout the application process.
The organization says the funding will allow it to continue creating positive opportunities for youth in the Beckley area through education, awareness, and support programs.
