Beckley, WV (WOAY) Appalachian makers and artists will fill the convention center in Beckley next month for a two-day celebration of regional crafts.
The Appalachian Arts and Crafts Fair returns Friday and Saturday, August 7th and 8th, at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
Organizers say the fair showcases dozens of artists and makers working in everything from pottery and metalwork to original art and photography.
A longtime favorite also returns: the Appalachian Treasures Quilt Show marks its fifty-first year, with quilts judged for ribbons and a people’s choice award voted on by visitors.
Live music from Daniel Lilly and the Lilly Mountaineers is set for midday both days.
Admission is $5.00. Children and students 18 and under get in free.
