Adventures on the Gorge showcasing local heroes in web series

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – At a time when Adventures on the Gorge is typically full steam ahead in booking adventure trips, the marketing department has shifted their focus to giving people something positive to consume.

That’s why media manager Jay Young has been doing a West Virginia Heroes of 2020 web series where he interviews local heroes on the frontlines of this pandemic.

He is talking to local medical professionals, first responders and community members who have jumped in to do their part.

“In the face of so much fear and so much uncertainty there are so many people who are really viewing this as opportunity to not cower in the shadows but to make a difference,” he said.
