Fayetteville, WV (WOAY) Heads up to those living in Fayetteville or anyone with plans to travel through the area this Saturday.
Fayette Station Road will be closed temporarily to vehicle traffic on Saturday, May 2, for the New River Gorge Rim to Rim race from 6:00 am to 10:00 am.
The closure will take place at the intersection of Lansing Loop and CR 82/Fayette Station Road.
If you’re planning to set up a river shuttle at Fayette Station or Teays Valley road access, organizers urge you to plan accordingly and schedule shuttles before 6:00 a.m or after 10:00 a.m.
Climbers wanting to access Bridge Buttress can park and walk from the Burnwood Day Use Area.
Event organizers encourage race participants and spectators to use alternative routes and plan for traffic delays.
