A Nice Break from the Rain before New Year’s Eve; Cold Blast to Start off the New Year

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today has been smooth sailing after the lingering showers early this morning. However, rain will be coming in tomorrow afternoon, dampening the New Year’s Eve celebrations in the area. New Year’s Day will see significant cooling and rain turning into snow, giving us a sloppy and cold start to the New Year.

The next blip on the radar will be on Friday with a little bit of snow, but otherwise, we are clear until Sunday. Saturday will be nice weather, but cold before the next big storm comes through. Sunday will see rain, snow, and ice throughout the day. Meteorologist Christian Boteler breaks down the latest forecast:
