COAL CITY, WV (WOAY)- On Saturday around 5 pm, the Coal City Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire with someone trapped inside on Lynwinn Rd.
It was reportedly a large fire with the victim inside and bystanders trying to get her out from the window. The fire fighters managed to get her out and transported her to a hospital.
She later died from her injuries in a burn unit in Pittsburgh.
The WV Fire Marshall’s office is investigating the situation, and we’ll update you as we learn more.
