BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Nail salon employees are back to work, but they are taking as many precautions as necessary.
At Le’s Nails in Beckley, employees wear protective masks and gloves to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Precautions don’t stop there, as the salon has screens between nail technicians and customers.
When entering the salon, even customers are asked to take precautions.
“We have to really be careful and we have to follow instructions,” said manager Holly Nguyen. “We have to sanitize when you come in. I also let the customer know that they have to wear the mask when they come in and sign in before they can come in. Also, we have to spread apart. We can’t sit together.”
Nguyen says she and other employees were nervous about heading back to work, but staying at home made it hard to make ends meet. She hopes the many precautions they take will be enough to keep everyone healthy.
