Kanawha County, WV (WOAY) – Governor Patrick Morrisey has announced the launch of the one-stop shop permitting portal.
This online system makes submitting applications and permits much faster than before.
It opens fully on January 1st.
You can go to Speedtobuild.wv.gov to visit the portal. It had a soft opening on October 1st, beating the deadline of January 1st established under House Bill 2002 by three months.
You can apply for permits, pay fees, track applications, and more all under a single account,
Starting on January 1st, you can then take advantage of fast-track process options for permits and more.
Until July 1st, 2027, use of the portal is optional. After that date, the portal will become the required application method. Exceptions will be provided under certain disability and human rights laws.
