Local counties receiving millions in local, state, and federal investments for water extensions

Kanawha County, WV (WOAY) – Mingo and Wyoming County communities are receiving $8.7 million in local, state, and federal investments for water extensions.

The extensions will improve service for over 450 people in Justice and Hanover.

It’ll also connect Huff Consolidated School and the R.D. Bailey Lake facility to public water.

The projects are part of a larger statewide funding initiative to extend and improve public water access.

In a statement, Governor Patrick Morrisey said, quote, “Every West Virginia family deserves clean, reliable water and infrastructure they can depend on. We’re bringing public water to families who have relied on private wells, improving systems that serve thousands of residents, and helping communities prepare for new homes and businesses.”
