West Virginia Rivers Coalition forms Technical Advisory Council to expand scientific expertise and help protect water resources

West Virginia (WOAY) A West Virginia environmental organization is expanding its scientific expertise to help protect the state’s water resources.

The West Virginia Rivers Coalition has formed a Technical Advisory Council made up of scientists and policy professionals from across the region.

The group brings together experts in water quality, wildlife biology, public health, hydrology, and environmental policy to help guide the organization’s work.

WV Rivers says it received more than twice as many applications as available seats in just two weeks, highlighting the strong interest in using scientific knowledge to address the state’s water challenges.

The council will help the organization better understand issues involving drinking water, development, and environmental regulations.

More information about the council and its members is available at wvrivers.org.
