WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Morning temperatures have dipped below 60 degrees for most of the region, bringing us back to average for the first time in a bit. Patchy fog is also possible, but visibility issues should remain isolated. Few clouds will be present, allowing the sun to burn off fog and warm up our area through the morning. If you are enjoying the brisk morning, you may not be too fond of this afternoon. Temperatures will increase into the lower 80s, bringing summer right back into the region. It will be a great day to head outside and enjoy the sunshine, just remember to bring water and sun protection. Conditions will remain wonderful for all of Wednesday. High pressure will remain to our northeast for one more day, keeping us warm and dry. The forecast consists of mostly sunny skies, temperatures in the mid-80s, and not a drop of rain in sight. It will be another great day to head outside, but you should take precautions due to the warmer temperatures. Water and sun protection are needed, especially if you are headed outdoors for an extended period. Listen to your body and utilize shade when possible. This is not a summer heatwave, but humid and warm conditions may cause issues. As we head into the overnight hours, the high-pressure system will begin to move away from New England. This is the signal for chance in our forecast.
Thursday morning will be calm with temperatures in the lower 60s. However, the pattern change comes very soon. Showers begin in the afternoon afternoon, officially ending the dry pattern across the region. The cold front will not arrive on Thursday, but showers will form ahead of the disturbance. Rain will last through the overnight hours and will be followed by more storms as the front passes through on Friday. Storms and showers remain scattered through the day, but Fabulous Football Friday may be another rainy and damp one for the fans.
