Kanawha County, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia State Supreme Court says a Justice was taken to a hospital after experiencing a medical incident during the first day of arguments in the fall term.
According to a press release, first responders were called in to assist Justice Bill Wooton, a Beckley native, during oral arguments this morning.
The press release said Justice Wooton was active and alert while being treated and was taken to a local hospital.
Wooton has been on the bench since 2021.
