Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources has announced that tickets are available for 2026 elk management tours.
These annual tours provide the opportunity to explore scenic areas of Logan County and learn about the state’s elk restoration program. According to the WV DNR, the program has introduced 119 elk to the Tomblin Wildlife Management Area since its launch in 2016.
WVDNR director Brett McMillion says, “Restoring elk to West Virginia has been one of our state’s greatest conservation stories, and these guided tours offer the public a front-row seat to that achievement.”
The first tour will take place on Sunday, September 13th, and tours will continue through October 24th.
