Fayetteville, WV (WOAY) Book lovers are invited to spend a quiet evening outdoors celebrating the life and work of poet Mary Oliver.
Canary Books will host an outdoor screening Friday, August 28, on the lawn.
The evening will feature a new documentary portrait of Oliver, exploring her life, her work and her close connection to the natural world.
Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket, bug spray, water and a light layer for after dark.
The gathering begins at dusk.
Organizers say there will be no homework or formal discussion and no previous familiarity with Mary Oliver is required.
Canary Books is located above Wood Iron Eatery in Fayetteville.
