West Virginia PSC granted both WVA Manufacturing and the Sanitary Board of Smithers intervener status

Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – On Thursday, the West Virginia Public Service Commission granted both WVA Manufacturing, also known as Alloy, and the Sanitary Board of Smithers intervener status in the Fayette County Commission’s attempt to sell four county PSD systems to American Water.

Both petitions to intervene revolved around resale rates that are expected to increase if the sale is approved. Both also claimed they were not properly notified by either the Fayette County Commission or American Water of these changes to their resale rates, as was ordered by the Public Service Commission.

The evidentiary hearing before the PSC, which was originally scheduled for March, will be held in Charleston on Monday, August 24 at 9:30 a.m. at 201 Brooks Street.
