Thurmond, WV (WOAY) New River Gorge National Park and Preserve announces a temporary road closure in Thurmond.
Starting today through Wednesday, June 24, from approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, the Thurmond bridge is closed to vehicle traffic for the annual bridge inspection.
There will be no vehicle crossings, and foot traffic will also be impacted throughout the closure.
The Thurmond Depot will be closed until the project is complete and the bridge reopens.
The route is scheduled to open on Thursday, June 25, but may be subject to change.
