Fayetteville, WV (WOAY) – A routine traffic stop leads to drug charges in Fayette County.
According to a media release from the Fayetteville Police Department, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, officers pulled over a vehicle for a routine traffic violation on Route 19 in Fayetteville.
As a result of the traffic stop, officers performed a search of the vehicle and recovered a firearm and over 100 grams of suspected Methamphetamine.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 46-year-old Misty St. John, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, conspiracy, reckless driving, and a traffic violation
The passenger in the vehicle, identified as 32-year-old Robert Phillip Boggs, was also arrested and charged with Possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, conspiracy to commit a felony, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Both suspects have been arraigned and are currently in the Southern Regional Jail under a $50,000 bond.
