Rupert, WV (WOAY) A registered sex offender is facing charges of possession of child pornography in Greenbrier County.
According to a media release, Greenbrier County Sheriffs arrested 55-year-old Robert Dean Shaffer II on Tuesday, January 13.
His arrest follows an investigation that revealed Shaffer solicited, acquired, distributed, and possessed large quantities of child pornography for an extended period of time.
A Greenbrier County Magistrate court oversaw Shaffer’s arraignment
Shaffer is currently in Southern Regional Jail awaiting further court proceedings on a $100,000 cash only bond with additional charges pending.
