Mercer County, WV (WOAY) – The town of Bluefield is mourning one of its own.
74-year-old Terry Gene Lampert passed away December 22 at his home with loved ones.
Terry served as a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and retired from Norfolk Southern Railway with over four decades of experience as an engineer under his belt.
Terry graduated from Graham High School in 1969 and loved to play music. He had a big heart and spread holiday cheer every year for the community.
Terry touched the lives of many people in his community over the years, playing the role of Santa in Mercer County’s Christmas City. He also served as president of the Bluefield, Virginia, Lions Club for many years.
A wake to honor him will be held Friday.
