Rain Pattern Continues; Change Coming to Start June

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today will continue the damp and sloppy weather pattern we’ve seen since the beginning of the week. The low pressure passing through our area will bring more showers and isolated storms, continuing the same old cycle we’ve seen basically all month. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the full forecast:

The rain will continue into the rest of the work week. Scattered showers and storms will develop on the backend of today’s low-pressure system before a second disturbance bowls through the area Friday into Saturday morning. Rainfall will be beneficial for the area minus some ponding in vulnerable spots. Showers will be on and off, so we’ll have some breaks in between rounds of rain, notably overnight on Thursday. In total, most areas will get an additional quarter to a half inch over the next couple of days.

After Saturday morning, the skies will gradually clear out and give us a dry streak for the beginning of June. High pressure will push out the rain and give us the conditions we’ve been waiting for all month with sunny skies Monday and Tuesday of next week. Safe to say, Meteorological Summer will be off to a great start with temperatures reaching 80 degrees by Tuesday. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
