Asian long-horned ticks are spreading throughout the United States, and researchers say they have made it to West Virginia.
The invasive species arrived in the United States at least five years ago but are beginning to take a foothold.
The ticks reproduce quickly and survive harsh conditions.
However, researchers believe they pose more of a threat to livestock than humans.
