Kanawha County, WV (WOAY) – Governor Patrick Morrisey held a press conference today in Charleston to unveil the 2026 West Virginia Vacation Guide.
The state distributes huge numbers of the guide, which aim to connect tourists with trip planning resources. There have been 400% more pre-orders for this year’s guide.
According to Secretary of Tourism Chelsea Ruby, local tourism sector workers are the ones giving visitors a great experience and bringing them back for more.
Tourism continues to be a major driver for West Virginia’s economy.
The New River Gorge saw a 25% increase in visitors last year. Governor Morrisey says he wants to build on the success of last year.
