2018 Veterans Day Parade

BECKLEY, WV – Veterans Day is being celebrated in so many different ways. One exciting event that happens around this time every year is The Veterans Day Parade in Beckley.

The parade started at 11 o’clock this morning with hundreds of people gathering in uptown Beckley,  along Neville street were veterans, their families and children awaited in preparation for the parade to begin. As several businesses, organizations and schools drove and walked by to honor every Veteran in every branch of service in the united states armed forces.

” Veterans day is a time for us to honor the veterans. Both past and present. My father was a world war II veteran and was wounded in combat and I think that it is appropriate that we come out and honor those people that have defended our country and given us the freedom to come to the parade.” Said Harry Evans, Parade Participant

The veterans day parade is a special way to draw hundreds of people in the community together to acknowledge and honor the brave men and women who have fought for our country.
