Yamaha recalls over 30,000 power adapters due to risk of shock and electrocution

Oak Hill, WV (CNN) – Yamaha has recalled more than 30,000 power adapters due to the risk of electrocution.

The recall is for PA Ten AC power adapters with printed date codes ranging from 2126 to 2319.

Yamaha is warning that a crack can occur between the upper and lower cases of the adapter that could cause it to separate and expose electrical wiring.

The PA Ten was sold at Amazon, Guitar Center, and other audio stores between June 2021 and November 2023.

It was sold in a bundle with five Yamaha analog mixing console models and stand-alone packaging.

The company says consumers should stop using the adapter immediately and contact them for a free replacement.

As of now, no injuries have been reported.
