Wyoming County traffic stop leads to drug arrests

Wyoming County, WV (WOAY)- A routine traffic stop in Wyoming County led to a significant drug bust this past weekend.

Deputies with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department pulled over a vehicle in the Lynco area after noticing the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

During the stop, deputies smelled marijuana, prompting a search of the vehicle.

Inside, authorities discovered approximately $3,600 in cash, a crushed pill believed to be Percocet, and a bag containing 14 grams of a fine powder that later tested positive for fentanyl.

The driver, Lucas Robinson, and passenger, Gibrauna Dowdell, both of Akron, Ohio, now face felony charges, including Possession with Intent to Deliver and Drug Conspiracy.

The West Virginia State Police Crime Lab will conduct further analysis of the substances.
