Wyoming County Sheriff’s deputies undergo D.A.R.E officer training to encourage young people to make good decisions

Mullens, WV (WOAY) Members of the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office are strengthening their efforts to connect with young people. 

Over the past two weeks, deputies completed specialized D.A.R.E. officer training alongside law enforcement from across the region. 

The program prepares officers to teach prevention education in schools and community organizations, helping students make safe and informed decisions. 

Officials say the training also focuses on building stronger relationships between law enforcement and the community.
