PINEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department is in the process of adding a new member to the team.
Six applicants completed the physical test portion of the Deputy Sheriff’s test this week. The department is excited to have several qualified candidates during a time where it’s difficult to find people interested in going into law enforcement.
“For the first time in a long time, all six passed the test with time to spare,” said Chief Deputy Bradley Ellison. “Just by looking at the applicants, and looking at some of their backgrounds and everything, at this point we’ve got six potential good hire’s that will fit in well with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department.”
The department hopes to introduce its new member sometime around mid-October.
