Wyoming County, WV (WOAY) – Heads up, Wyoming County families: students head back to class on August 22, and there’s an important update all high school parents need to know.
Starting this school year, Wyoming County high schools are updating their student sign-out procedures to enhance safety across all campuses.
To sign a student out, a parent, guardian, or someone listed on the student’s blue card must now come to the school in person.
Phone calls, text messages, and written notes will no longer be accepted.
The new procedures aim to ensure proper identity verification and protect students.
School officials appreciate the community’s support and understanding as they prioritize the safety of every student.
