According to its Facebook page, The Wyoming County Health Department will be administering Tetanus and Hepatitis A shots in two locations Friday, February 21, 2025.
From 10:00 am to 12:00 noon they will be set up at Mullens Town Hall located at 315 Moran Avenue, Mullens, WV.
From 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm they will be set up at Westside High School located at 122 Renegade Way, Clear Fork, WV.
According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), tetanus bacteria are more likely to get into the body through broken skin or puncture wounds (wounds caused by an object, like a nail or needle). Being previously vaccinated may not provide enough immunity to prevent reinfection. Â Staying up to date with recommended tetanus vaccinations is the best way to prevent tetanus infection.
Anyone with questions may contact the Wyoming County Health Department at 304-732-7941.
