Wyoming County BOE releases plans to return to school this fall

PINEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – The Wyoming County Board of Education has approved a framework of how the return to school will be for the fall of 2020.

A Task Force was comprised of stakeholders to formulate a plan which was then approved by the Board of Education.

The weekly framework plan is as follows:

Monday – All students and staff report on a regular schedule

Tuesday – All students and staff report on a regular schedule

Wednesday – Students and teachers work remotely; school is deep cleaned.

Thursday – All students and staff report on a regular schedule

Friday – All students and staff report on a regular schedule.

Saturday – Additional deep cleaning will be done at schools.

This is only a framework schedule, and many details and protocols still have to be worked out.

“Our goal has always been for our children to be safe and happy while they are learning,” says Superintendent Deirdre Cline.

This plan will be in effect for the first two months of school, then re-evaluated on October 22.
