WVU Tech Hosting Discovery Day Saturday for Prospective Students

Beckley, WV (WOAY) – WVU Tech’s Discovery Day, taking place on Saturday, is a special opportunity to get the feel for what the school has to offer, and goes well beyond a standard campus tour according to Tech’s Admissions Program Coordinator Caitlin Lagowski.

“Students are going to come in and get a light breakfast, and then we’re going to do an admissions and student life presentation,” said Lagowski. “We’re going to do a full campus tour, get a full hour with the faculty, whatever academic program they’re interested in, and then we will do an ask us anything session where they can find out more about student life, financial aid admissions criteria and things like that.”

The event is open to anyone considering tech for their continued education. The school’s twenty-five academic programs will be represented with plenty of information available.

“So the faculty that you’re actually going to have in class will be here to talk to you about the program,” Lagowski said. “Your financial aid counselors who will help you through with any questions related to … loans or scholarships will be here as well.”

Discovery Day will take place Saturday, March 28th, from 9AM to 1PM beginning in Carter Hall. Registration for the event is available at https://admissions.wvutech.edu/personal/organized/discover
