Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – WVU Tech has received a national charter from the Society of Women Engineers, establishing an official chapter on campus.
Receiving a national charter took a lengthy application process that students and faculty worked on.
The campus club was started by students who wanted community among women in STEM fields.
The national organization offers scholarships and grants, along with national conferences and career fairs.
WVU Tech’s chapter is only the second one in the state of West Virginia.
