Beckley, WV (WOAY) WVU Tech is offering a new option for nurses who want to finish their four-year degrees.
The WVU School of Nursing now offers its LPN to BSN program on the Beckley campus. This means Licensed Practical Nurses who want to finish their bachelor’s degree in nursing can now do so at Tech.
Nursing program chair Hillary Parcell says the program is designed for working nurses, with online courses and weekend clinicals:
“I think it expands opportunities for better health care for Southern West Virginia and all those communities that our nurses will be serving and working in. It gives opportunities to current LPNs and their employers that may help them and encourage them to go back to school to get that bachelor’s degree in nursing.”
