WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital and City of Bluefield partner to expand services with new pediatric and primary care facility

Bluefield, WV (WOAY) WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital (PCH), and the City of Bluefield are expanding access to care with a new pediatrics and primary care clinic coming to downtown Bluefield.

Leaders announced the project during a ceremony on Friday at the future site on Jefferson Street.

The new facility will house Bluefield Internal Medicine, which is relocating from its current location at the former Bluefield hospital this fall.

The clinic will feature 12 exam rooms, an on-site lab, and space designed to support both patients and providers.

Officials say the downtown location will make it easier for families to access coordinated care for both children and adults in one place.

Hospital leaders say the current team has already seen strong patient outcomes, with top transition-of-care success rates across the WVU Medicine system.

City leaders say the investment reflects continued growth and confidence in Bluefield’s future.
