WVU formally introduces Ross Hodge as Head Men’s Basketball Coach

Morgantown, WV (WOAY) – Its official! Despite being on the job for more than a week, Ross Hodge was formally announced in a news conference on Thursday morning.

In the Milar Puskar Center’s team room, members of the media were given the opportunity to speak with Hodge, WVU athletic director Wren Baker and current university president Gordon Gee.

Coach Hodge told those in attendance while he’s eager to get started at WVU, he’s in no rush to put together a coaching staff.

“I’m not putting myself on a timeline,” Hodge said during the press conference at WVU Thursday morning. “There’s an incredible excitement around this program and there’s not a shortage of people that would love to come be a part of this.”

Hodge takes over at WVU after coaching North Texas through the NIT. His flight landed in Morgantown on Wednesday.
