WVU Continues Home Win Streak Against Kansas

Morgantown, WV (WOAY, video courtesy WDTV) – After a week filled with two difficult losses, West Virginia returned to winning ways Tuesday night over Kansas.

The Mountaineers entered the matchup having won their last three home games against the Jayhawks, and Tuesday was no different, as WVU won 85-69. Esa Ahmad led all scorers with a career-high 27 points.

West Virginia is the first team since the 2011-12 season (Indiana) to beat teams ranked first and second in the AP poll in the same season. The Mountaineers host Texas A&M Saturday in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.
