West Virginia, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia Department of Transportation estimates there will be more than 400,000 transactions on the West Virginia Turnpike this weekend.
Friday and Monday are projected to be the heaviest traveled days. The department recommends travelers looking to avoid delays to target Saturday and Sunday.
The Department of Highways and Parkways Authority is asking drivers to observe speed limits, avoid distractions, and never drive under the influence.
