WVDNR is offering a free boating course for those who wish to boat around the state

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY)- West Virginia has over 2,000 miles of navigable streams for people to sail down. With that, there’s a free safety program to start your boating adventures.

If you’re born on or after December 31st 1986, you must successfully complete a boating education safety course before you can hit the waters. Course topics include, boating terms, capacities, registration requirements, safety equipment, navigation rules, and more.
