WV State Police looking for registered sex offender

Beckley, WV (WOAY) – The West Virginia State Police is looking for a registered sex offender and they need your help.

Corporal C.A. Dunn tells WOAY he is looking for registered sex offender John Perry.

Perry was convicted on or about November 28, 2016, for the third-degree sexual assault of a thirteen-year-old female family member in Logan County, WV. 

John Perry is required to register with the West Virginia State Police in the county in which he resides, being Raleigh, any changes to his address.

According to Cpl. Dunn, Mr. Perry cut off his home confinement bracelet from parole on March 6, 2025, and has not returned to his provided residence of 301 East Prince St. in Beckley, WV since.

Cpl. Dunn is asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of John Perry to contact the Beckley Detachment of the West Virginia State Police at (304) 256-6700.
