WV Hive accepting application for 2025 Pitch Southern West Virginia Business Idea Competition until September 2

Beckley, WV (WOAY)-The West Virginia Hive Network is now accepting applications for its 2025 Pitch Southern West Virginia business idea competition.

Entrepreneurs and students with innovative business ideas, this is your chance to shine! 

First-round applications are due by noon on September 2, and finalists will pitch live at Concord University on November 20.

The audience will vote for a favorite, while a panel of expert judges selects the winners. 

Judy Moore, executive director of the WV Hive, says the event is a powerful opportunity to refine your business idea, build connections, and unlock valuable resources. 

New this year: a video pitch round will help narrow down finalists before the in-person event, and virtual coaching will be offered to help polish each pitch. 

Thanks to sponsors such as United Bank, NRGRDA, and Concord University, winners will receive cash and in-kind support to help grow their businesses.
