Charleston, WV (WOAY) – The brackets are set for the 2025 WVSSAC Girls’ State Basketball tournament and Southern West Virginia has several teams playing.
According to the WVSSAC webpage, the 2025 tournament begins on Tuesday, March 11, at the Charleston Coliseum with 4 teams from Southern WV competing for championships.
In Class AAA #3 seed Greenbrier East will take on the #6 seed Sissonville at 11:15 a.am on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
In Class AA it will be a true match up of two Southern WV rivals as the #4 seed Wyoming East takes on the #5 seed James Monroe at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
In Class A #3 seed Tucker County will face #6 Greenbrier West on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
Championship games in all 4 divisions will be played at the Charleston Coliseum on Saturday March 15, 2025.
The 2025 WVSSAC Boys’ State Basketball tournament will be March 18 – 22, 2025 at the Charleston Coliseum.
